In maritime operation - especially in the dredging and offshore sector - quality gearboxes demonstrate their high performance on deck and in the engine room: from propeller transmissions with an output of 15.000 kW and more to dredge pumps, jet pumps, winches, generator and transfer case transmission units and special cutter head and cutter wheel gear units.

SHDE can supply maritime and dredging specific gearboxes with weight moving capacities ranging from 6000 up to 160000 kilos. They all come with guarantees of reliability, low maintenance inputs and operational efficiency.

• Helical gear units – we can provide helical gear units that are either foot mounted or shaft mounted, with a gear ratio of 1 – 630 and up to 610 kNm torque.
• Bevel helical gear units – we provide highly flexible bevel helical gear units, known for high levels of efficient long running applications and the highest of torque reduction ratings (1 - 3.550 Torque 1 - 610 kNm).
• Sand pump drives – available with SHDE from manufacturers all over the world, these dredging specific gear units are designed to deal with highly irregular loads of water, sand and gravel.
• Propulsion gearboxes – manufactured by some of the most reputable suppliers in the industry, these gearboxes with a single transmission are designed to compensate the per minute revolutions between the screw and the motor.
• Cutter head gear – available either new or refurbished, from top manufacturers dedicated to designing and producing the highest quality cutter head drives on the market.
• Dredge pump gear – available in multiple sizes and types, to fit any budget and dredging equipment.
